Ingredients (2 portions):
2 large thick carrots
45ml soy sauce
15ml peanut oil
½ tsp smoked salt
1 tsp paprika powder
1 tsp garlic powder
5g miso paste
5g mustard
Preparation:
- First preheat the oven to 180 degrees circulating air
- Then peel the washed carrots one by one with a kitchen peeler to create bacon-like slices
- Then mix the soy sauce, peanut oil, smoked salt, paprika powder, garlic powder, miso paste and mustard to make a marinade
- Then place the carrots on a baking tray lined with baking paper and brush the marinade on both sides with a brush
- Now place the baking tray in the oven for approx. 10 to 15 minutes, remove and leave to cool briefly
- The vegan bacon can now be served with anything as a side dish or simply eaten straight away! Simply enjoy!
