Low Sugar Chocolate Chocolates

1 medium sweet potato

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa

2 tablespoons agave syrup

100g dark chocolate

Additional: cocoa for rolling the chocolates


  1. Peel the sweet potato, cut it into pieces and boil them in a pot of water until they are soft. Now you can let the potato cool down and mash it to a puree.

  2. Then put the sweet potato puree in a bowl and add cocoa, agave syrup and melted dark chocolate. Mix everything well until a homogeneous mass is formed

  3. Now form small balls of the sweet potato and chocolate mixture with your hands and roll them in cocoa,so that they are evenly covered with it

  4. Place the cocoa-rolled chocolate balls on a plate or baking mat and allow to cool and set in the refrigerator for at least 1 hr.

  5. After the praline balls have set, carefully remove them from the baking mat and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
