Ingredients (1 tray):
For the yeast dough:
650g spelt flour
2 pack of dry yeast
5-6 tbsp agave syrup
2 tbsp margarine
200ml oat milk
1 pinch of salt
For the filling:
2 tbsp margarine
2 tsp cinnamon
1 pack of dates
Some coarse sea salt
2 tbsp apple puree
For the topping:
60g powdered sugar
1-2 tbsp lemon juice from a fresh lemon
Preparation:
- First mix all the dry ingredients for the yeast dough together
- Next, melt the butter in a microwave or in a bain-marie and mix with the other liquid ingredients
- Now gradually add the liquid ingredients to the flour and knead into a firm dough using a hand mixer and dough hook and place in a warm place to rise for an hour
- Next, place all the ingredients for the filling in a blender and blend until smooth
- Then roll out the dough to a thickness of approx. 1 cm and spread the filling on top
- Now cut off strips approx. 3-4 cm thick and roll them up, place on a baking tray and place in the oven for 15-20 minutes at 180 °C fan oven
- Finally, immediately pour the icing over the hot cinnamon buns and leave to cool slightly.
