Vegan BBQ sauce

Ingredients (10 portions):

2 cloves of garlic

½ onion

1-2 chillic pots

250g tomato paste

4 tablespoons of coconut blossom sugar

4 tablespoons of maple syrup

2 tablespoons of white wine vinegar

2 tablespoons of vegan soy sauce

1 tablespoon of mustard

1 tablespoon of molasses

1 teaspoon ginger powder

1 TL turmeric

¼ tl cloves

¼ tl nut

1 tablespoon of margarine

1 teaspoon smoked peppers

125ml water


  1. Heat a saucepan and put oil in it
  2. Dice the garlic and the onion and cut the chillic pods. Add everything in the pot
  3. Add the tomato paste, the coconut blossom sugar, the maple syrup and the white wine vinegar together with the soy sauce, the mustard, the molasses, the ginger powder, the clove and the nutmeg in the pot and stir everything vigorously
  4. Pour up with 125ml of water and let everything simmer for 20 minutes
  5. Add some margarine and mix until you get a liquid sauce
  6. Fill the hot sauce into sterilized glasses and close it with a lid
